Intropals

Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 November 2026. What changed: section 5 now explains that authorised staff may review messages, profiles and activity for safety, and that reviews are recorded. Members who joined earlier are asked to agree at their next sign-in.

These Terms of Service apply from the date this version is first published on intropals.net. Intropals is operated by Afdalsoft Inc. (주식회사 아프달소프트) ("we", "us").

1. What Intropals is

Intropals is a service for making friends and practising languages with people around the world. Members find other members by country, language, age and interests and write messages to each other. Intropals is only for friendship and language exchange, and does not translate messages.

2. Who can join

You must be 19 years of age or older and give your true date of birth. You must confirm your e-mail address before you can send messages. One person may hold one account. Accounts created from the same device or internet address may be reviewed.

3. Your account

Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@intropals.net if you think someone else is using it.

4. Community rules

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines. In particular you must not ask for or send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency, impersonate others, send sexual content, harass anyone, or contact members who are under 19.

5. Safety review

Our systems may mark messages or accounts for review when they look like scams, spam or other risks. A mark is not a penalty. Decisions to restrict, suspend or remove an account are taken by our staff, and you may ask us to explain a decision and to look at it again by writing to support@intropals.net.

To keep Intropals safe, authorised staff may review messages, profiles and activity to detect and prevent spam, fraud, harassment, child-safety risks and other breaches of these Terms and the Community Guidelines. Every review is recorded. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Free and Premium features

Basic features are free. Some features are available with a paid Premium membership as described on the Upgrade screen and in the Premium Membership Terms. Reporting and blocking are always free.

7. Content you post

You keep the rights to what you write and upload. You give us a limited licence to store and show it to other members as needed to run the service. You must have the right to post anything you upload. Posts, comments, group posts and group chat messages are shown to other members according to the visibility you choose (all members, friends only, or members of a group). Group owners and moderators may hide posts in their group; our staff may hide content that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines. When you share someone else's post, it stays theirs and disappears from your share if they delete it.

8. Suspension and ending your account

You may delete your account at any time in Profile › Delete account. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms or the law, after review by our staff.

9. Our responsibility

We provide the service with reasonable care but cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We are not responsible for what members say or do outside our control, except where the law makes us responsible. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

10. Changes

We will post changes to these Terms at least 7 days before they apply (30 days for changes that are unfavourable to you) and tell members by e-mail or in the service. If you do not agree, you may delete your account before the changes apply.

11. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not take away mandatory consumer protection rights you have in the country where you live. Contact: support@intropals.net.
